This season of The Basketball Wives is totally about the broken friendship between Evelyn Lozada and Jennifer Williams. Although Jenn tries to remain cool, calm, collective and lady-like Ev on the other hand regardless of her age or good looks is completely bout it and constantly wants to fight Jenn.
The tension between the two former friends has gotten to the point that Shaunie O’Neal actually fears for Jenn’s safety after stating that Lozada would tear Wiliams apart on the latest episode.
To outsiders looking in and Jenn herself, it appears that Shaunie has taken Evelyn’s side in the beef. Most of her filming is actually done with Evelyn. But Shaunie says that she hasn’t taken sides at all, she is so over the drama she tells VIBE.
“The Evelyn and Jen situation has affected pretty much the whole cast,” she said. “It’s really complicated for people who aren’t apart of their beef. Jen, I think, she tends to think that we side with one or the other and that’s not the case. I’m too old to be siding with two grown women that have their own beef going on.
“We’re all grown and everybody changes, and change is good for the most part. So, I’m just rolling with it and I’m kind of over it and I don’t care anymore.”
Although Shaunie says she is over the drama she continiously brings new cast members like Keisha Nichols and Kenya Bell onto the show in order to keep the drama going. Although Kish definitely doesn’t want to fight anyone, the fresh meat is necessary to spice the show up says O’Neal.
“Bringing in the new girls really has been interesting. Every season is like drama,” she said.
