I met a man that can be just an uncover friend that likes you, only wants to sleep with you or he didnt really say that if he wants me or not but he could be in the future. He has only a part time job that pays only a little less to none and hes been to prison so I had told him to not bother contacting me anymore.
He constantly sends me emails and texts about how I think im so much better than him and how I am a gold digger. Did I do the right thing? I don’t feel bad at all. I feel like I am too beautiful, intelligent and sweet for me to settle for someone who cannot provide me benefits. What do u and your facebook friends think of this?

Men who have no money have a great habit of abusing the term gold digger. I always tell them that you have to first have some gold to be able to attract a gold digger to begin with. Frankly these low dough men often times think that something is wrong with a woman who wants better than a man with empty pockets. Yes, you did do the right thing. However unfortunate his circumstances may be the man is losing by all accords. A man who is okay with a woman struggling with him and being unable to provide for her will never be a good man. He does not have it in him to provide the foundation that a good man provides.
Instead of taking your dismissal of him as a notice that he is in a black hole and may need to fall back from dating for a bit until he is better able to get his life together he instead chooses to insult you. He feels that you are better than him. That is the way he should feel. If you feel like you are worth more than a bum azz man that is how you should think. You are smart in making a decision to avoid wasting your precious time with a man whose only benefits package is his love and his stick.
Many women fall into the trap of making attempts to help men get their stuff together which leads to an endless cycle of always being made to take two steps back.
It’s wonderful that you are aware of who you are, what you want and will only deal with a successful man who can advance you. Don’t change.
P.S. The next time he bothers you with his B.S. suggest that he go back to school and find a trade so that he can better himself and place himself in a better position to be more overall attractive to the types of women that he desires.

See, I see it as a tough obstacles because what if I were dating a woman with a prison record? Love has no boundaries but to some this could limit spending time outside of public square. Ask yourself this when you’re in this tight spot; can I fall in love to a person with a criminal background without passing judgment?

Depends on the record…and what she is accepting of. Not all men in prison are bad men, or even guilty men. Some do horrible things but change their lives around and come out more mature and wiser. It all has to be an analysis of the character of that man. I also understand how low funds can be a concern for women. Sometimes though, he could be ambitious and ready to get on the grind to get his, rather than being broke with no ambition. Some ‘low fund’ men have ambition, and are just looking for a woman to be their for support and to grow with him. Most times though, women prefer to avoid the ‘trouble’, and just find a man that is on an equal fund level as her, or higher. They figure why waste the time or effort on that.

First of all, if u r low on funds, maybe a relationship should not be on top of ur list of priorities. However, if u were with that man when he was on top of his game, maybe u should stick by him when he gets caught up (considering u profited off the illegal activity). There are a lot of black men with prison records, so depending on the charge, I MIGHT be able to give him a try. But the brokeness? No excuses. Take ur monkey ass BACK to school, and learn a new trade that will help bring in the $$$. Most folks got kids too, I’m assuming, so stop makin excuses and get out there and do it. There are plenty of folks with prison records that go from GEDs to PHDs… Had a professor in college who is tattooed from head to toe and was an LA gang banger for 20 years that wanted somethin different and is now a author and teaches criminal behavior classes. Kissy its funny you ask that question because every show about prison has inmates with ladies wanting for them at home. Even some who are never going home have ladies willing to marry them, there is a show called prison wives to prove my point.
