Lady GaGa took an unnecessary break from her exuberant wardrobe, hefty hairdos, and thickly layered makeup to show her little monster fans her lighter side. In the latest issue of Harper’s Bazaar, the Mama Monster goes au naturel — posing sans makeup and with plain flowing, lifeless looking hair to match her freshly scrubbed, pale face.
“I don’t really view it as ‘natural,’” she says of the photo shoot which will be included in a fashion film created in collaboration with photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. “I think that artifice is the new reality. It’s more about just being honest and sincere to the core of what you do. Whether I’m wearing lots of makeup or no makeup, I’m always the same person inside.”
Don’t you think that what’s on the cover of a magazine is quite artificial? There’s this idea that it’s all natural, but everything’s been staged to look natural. It is also an invention. It’s just that my inventions are different. I often get asked about my artifice, but isn’t fashion based on the idea that we can create a fantasy?”
Does getting dressed in over-the-top attire become exhausting? Sometimes. It all really depends on my mood for the day. But I think the perception that I ‘put it on’ every day is probably not true.
As for whether her dedicated fans would be disappointed if she started dressing like, well, everyone else, Gaga claims it’s simply not an issue. “I try to not focus on what people expect from me,” she insists. “I think what has been lovely about my relationship with the public is that they expect something unexpected from me.”
I can already here the men complaining about how unattractive women are without make-up. This is a bad look for women everywhere. Right??

Oh gosh. The only women i've known who didn't like for a man to say that they don't need all of the makeup on are those who don't look as good without it. It's no different than a guy who gets his card pulled because he's the type to let it be known he has some money to pull women. Usually guys who say they don't like women with no makeup on at all, they're full of it,unless they're the type of dudes who you see with the plain ass women. Some chicks need the help, some chicks can come outside with lipgloss on and look better than 90% of the chicks around. It is what it is.

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. With that being said, GaGa ain't much to look at, with or without makeup. So many entertainers will not dare go out without their face on. I think she is just paving the way for herself to be seen in public without it. If she does it herself, there's no money in a Paparazzi catching her without it.
