I remember watching Scarface for the first time and wanting to be that dude, along with most of the young minority males of that era. It’s easy to just focus on the money, houses, cars, and women that he had instead of the violent death he suffered at the end of the movie.
Once the crack era hit my neighborhood and I saw my cousin drive up the block in a brand new maxima with the system bumpin’, I went full speed ahead for it 100 mph down a dead end road (CREAM- Cash rules everything around me) Wu-Tang style! I wanted it ALL!! The same things Scarface had and although I was nowhere near the level he was at I definitely felt the rewards of the “game”.
But no one tells you about the destruction it causes to live that life. It’s HIGH stress, HIGH risk, HIGH reward, with HIGH possibility of JAIL or DEATH. I was fortunate enough to make it out without going to jail, but the money wasn’t worth it. Sleepless nights wondering if the cops are gonna kick in your door (or your homeboys), wondering if your friends and associates are gonna turn on you and decide to try and rob or set you up with the police, it’s a stressful life.
I remember seeing one of my best friends strung out and asking me for drugs as well as many people I looked up to growing up. My friends and family have done way too many years to count behind bars, one of their release dates is 2035 and he went in in 1997. My other homeboy who I grew up with & always looked out for me gets released in 2025. Seeing my younger cousin who is like a brother to me get locked up broke my heart and made me want to change my ways for good. Having kids and not wanting them to grow up and see their daddy behind the walls of prison made me want to move away from it all and relocate, but it sure wasn’t easy.
It’s real in the streets, but most hustlers don’t have bad intentions they just wanna live the life. To make real money hustling you have to be intelligent, some of the smartest people I’ve ever were from the streets and not the colleges I went to. They’re willing to risk it all to be above average, to get the “American dream.” In search of that dream I’ve sold everything from drugs to true religions, red bottoms and louis bags because I’m just never complacent. I know math so if my boss can pay me X amount of dollars to work for him I know I have to make him more than that with my labor for it to be worth hiring me.
These days, I have a great job but I’ll always want more, I’ll always hustle, because I want my own. From a hustler, to a stripper, to a groupie, to a baller, to a CEO everyone wants to be successful and be able to enjoy the trappings of that success.
The point I’m making is everyone from Bill Gates, to Jay-Z to Kissy have and had to make sacrifices to be successful. They may not have had to sell death and witness destruction but they did have to sacrifice time and energy that the average person isn’t willing to do. They had a goal, a vision, a dream that wasn’t average and they went all out for it. It’s easy to see a person’s triumphs but everyone has tribulations on the road to success. Kevin Hart struggled for years and made Soul Plane before people were laughing at his pain. It’s easy to forget that….
Most if not all sane people want to be rich or at the least financially able to live comfortably, but everyones idea of living comfortable is different. Some people are genuinely happy living in the projects or section 8 housing either working a menial job or relying on government assistance. Some choose college, others just get right to work. A vast majority of people with “good” jobs like myself work hard and still live paycheck to paycheck. There’s no recipe for happiness or success that’s the same for all people and regardless of society’s judgement of certain paths of life NO ONE is qualified to judge the path another human being chooses. A lot of people choose to work 40 plus hours a week, for 40 plus years, and end up with 40% or more of their salary upon retirement. Research shows that in the current economy most people that retire still have to do some type of work in order to survive.
The media based images of success consists of private jets, mansions, exclusive vacations to private islands, bentleys, VIP service, and champagne (who doesn’t want that?). These images are constantly transmitted to us through music, t.v., and whatever other form of media the powers that be can use to get directly to us the consumer.
Do you realize Fabolous spent $45,000 on champagne in ONE night? Most people don’t make that in a year! The reality is most people can’t live a champagne lifestyle, but they dream of it. Alot of us will spend our last to buy a bottle at the club or travel to All-Star weekend just to live the life for a few moments. Often these same people neglect their bills and responsibilities at home just to do it. The last Megamillions jackpot proved that everyone dreams of being rich, and the rich dream of being richer, it’s the American way and the reason why many foreigners move to this country (The Land of Opportunity). The difference is unless you beat incredible odds and win the lottery if you really want to be wealthy and successful you’re going to have to sacrifice and put the work in for it. Most people will only dream about it, but never make the necessary sacrifices to even attempt to make it happen.

Anyone that has ever been truly great at something had to at least temporarily sacrifice something to get there. So my question is what are you doing on your path for greatness? What are you willing to sacrifice? Or do you want greatness at all? Kissy took a risk to start this blog and applied brains, beauty, blood, sweat, tears, and time to make it successful. Bill Gates took his love for computers applied himself and created Microsoft, now he’s an icon in addition to being rich and successful. Sometimes you have to be willing to follow the trail of breadcrumbs in order to get to the bread. Do something different and not take failure as an option. I remember hearing Joel Osteen say in a sermon:
“If you’re the smartest, most successful person in you circle, you need to expand your circle.”
And with the power of the internet and social media expanding your circle is an easy task. I love to write so I reached out and Kissy gave me the opportunity. Without risk there’s no reward. If she said no I would still be writing, but I’m glad she didn’t. From there and reading one of Kissy’s posts I met someone else and that person convinced me to invest in myself and start my own business. Initially I came up with every excuse in the book on why I didn’t have the money to join, but instead spent money on clothes, liquor and wherever else. Finally I ran out of excuses and joined, I still don’t know what made me pull the trigger that day but like asking Kissy to write it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It gave me a opportunity to build something real with the support of a real team that’s doing real things in the business world.
The head of my team’s a millionaire that I have guidance from and that’s always accessible. That’s where I aspire to be so what’s better than that? If Bill Gates was willing to guide you would you do it? How many millionaires can you call directly for business advice? Having a team of people with a proven product and process to be successful is a great thing. I’ll always have a hustle mentality it’s in my blood, but I gave up risking my life and freedom for it a long time ago. I was one of the skeptics so I can’t judge someone that is one, but I do know that without risk there’s no reward for anyone. Like my mentor told me:
“If you’re not willing to spend $300 to start your own company and you have a job than you really need to be in this business, because yours isn’t working for you.”
It wasn’t free to hustle in the streets, it wasn’t free to start Microsoft, Facebook, Twitter or Apple, and it wasn’t free to start www.askkissy.com either, so regardless of what you do you have to be willing to invest in yourself to do it. Don’t let your weave, shoes, purses, clothes, or cars keep you from being financially independent.
A job is only guaranteed till your next paycheck. Energy deregulation is the business, Momentis is the company, Energy is the team. $300 to join (you get $100-$200 back in the first week automatically), $1000 in your first 10 days, $1000-$4000 a month initially by following a simple and proven plan that has already made millionaires.
When the airlines were deregulated Southwest and others were born. When phone companies were T-Mobile, Sprint, and others were born. With energy deregulation there have already been documented millionaires. By partnering with Just Energy (a billion dollar company), DirectTV, Clear internet, ADT, and others and having the support of a whole team lead by millionaires the skies the limit. But knock it, hate it, love it, or whatever else I only ask what are you doing on your quest for greatness? And if you’re not doing anything why not start now? If you decide to join our business or start your own doing something else I just urge you to try something, take a risk, don’t wait until its too late and you have material objects but no real wealth. If your interested in more information on getting money with Momentis email me @: teamenergymomentis@gmail.com
As for me I’ll continue to strive for success until my LAST breath & ALWAYS continually GET MONEY!! Every friday I have a new check in my mailbox….
