As reported. Shaquille O’Neal graduated from Barry University on Saturday with a doctoral degreee in Human Resources. Dr. O’Neal attended the ceremony with his girlfriend Hoopz Alexander.
It’s reported that during the ceremony Shaq squatted on his knee so that he would be at the approrpriate height to have the ceremonial hat placed upon his head before picking the professor up and placing him in the air like only a Jolly Green Giant like Shaq could.. The crowd loved it.
Shaq also has a bachelor’s degree in General Studies from Louisiana. He always knew he wanted to play ball so there was nothing in particular the ball player wanted to study back then.. However regardless of his success in the NBA the retired NBA All Star always felt that his education was important.
This degree is in addition to the MBA he got from the University of Phoenix.
With such a busy schedule it’s amazing that Shaq was able to keep up and finsih what he started. Perhaps he will finish up what he started with Hoopz and marry the girl.. That would be a nice wedding to see.
Shaq says he put in 4 1/2 years of hard work, staying up late at night, studying, reading, and rewriting papers.
