TAIWAN, CHINA – American kids love video games, but apparently over in China the kids are obsessed with them.

Marking the 2nd death of a Taiwanese this year an 18-year-old teen didn’t die of anticipation waiting on Diablo III to be released.. He instead died after a 40-hour marathon play session of the game.

The 18-year-old identified only by his surname, Chuang, booked a private room at the cafe in Tainan, southern Taiwan, around noon on July 13 and played for nearly two days without eating,. An employee of the café found him passed out on a table Sunday.

He woke up when approached, but collapsed after a few steps and was rushed to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. An autopsy is pending, but authorities noted that the long period of sitting still could have created blood clots, which proved fatal.
