Prostitute Sentenced to 18 Years to Life in Prison for Killing Man at Hotel in 2007


On Monday, a Brooklyn woman was sentenced to 18 years to life in prison for the stabbing death of a man nine years ago.

Pamela Hanson pleaded guilty for knifing David Diaz, 27, in the neck after engaging in consensual intercourse with him inside his room at the Best Western-Gregory Hotel in Bay Ridge on Dec. 2, 2007.  Diaz’s corpse was discovered, stabbed and beaten, by a hotel worker the next day. .

Hanson, reported to be a former exotic dancer, stripper and prostitute who formerly worked at the adult-entertainment club Goldfingers (when the club was shut down by the city in 1999, the neighborhood rejoiced) allegedly stabbed Diaz multiple times after he spat on her, swore at her and aggressively attempted to have sex with her, according to the Brooklyn Eagle.
