High School Senior Arrested After Threatening To Kill Teacher on Facebook


NEW PORT RICHEY, FLORIDA — A Florida high school student is accused of making a threat on Facebook to kill one of her former teachers.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office told local media outlets Desiree Zio, 18, said she would find a former River Ridge High School teacher and fatally stab her. When questioned by authorities after her arrest, Zio admitted to posting the threat.

Zio was arrested on Sunday night and charged with making written threats to kill or do bodily harm. She is being held on a $10,000 bond.

School officials said the student will face disciplinary action which could include her expulsion.
